Motto: Service before self.
Vision: To see al sects of society merge into one literate world.
Mission: To provide career-oriented education enriched with moral values and supportive life skills.
We train children to be global citizens and passionate about Japan.
CSAIS employs international CBSE curricula incorporating Japanese language & culture, as an elective subject. We also have planned to offer other languages gradually based on inflow of students from respective countries. One of the features of CSAIS curriculum is about more than just having children sit in front of textbooks and pursue book learning, but also encourage them to engage with the city, people and nature around them. We want children to feel confident in their own abilities and learn about their full potential. By engaging with people throughout the city and guests who come to the school, as well as through various forms of co-scholastic activities like music, art, mimicry, dance, traditional performance, group discussion, debate, storytelling etc. the children gain vital energy that will inspire them to pursue their dreams inculcating secular aesthetic appreciation.
We are creating a school where everyone can grow up to become international citizens.
At CSAIS, children from all over the world study together under the vision that the world is one.
We help them pursue mutual understanding and respect. We instil in children an appreciation of what they can do for the world and society at large, as well as the importance of having the conviction and motivation to achieve that.
We want to give children studying at CSAIS all the opportunities they could hope for, whether that is coming to love Japan and deciding to live here for a long period of time, returning home to their native country to give back, or perhaps pursuing a new journey somewhere else in the world.
CHANDRA SEKHAR ACADEMY India, The Parent School
The parent school is in Puri, Odisha, India conceived in the year 2004 along the Puri-Konark Marine Drive Road, which is the only school in the state that teaches Japanese language & culture as an elective subject from elementary to Senior Secondary level.
Chandra Sekhar Academy conceived at the out-skirts of Puri township on Puri-Konark Marine Drive Road at Balighai in the year 2004. Besides regular CBSE curricula, Japanese language and culture is taught as an elective subject from Nursery to Std.XII (+2) level. The school also take higher Japanese classes for University students. This is the only CBSE school in Odisha which nurtures Japanese language & culture with utmost precision and neatness. The surrounding villages and hamlets those encircle the school like Baliguali, Beladala, Chaitana, Dalanai, Bhuan, Bangara etc. have got the rare privilege of sending their children to this school and thereby educate them with CBSE curricula along with Japanese language & culture. Over more than a decade & half of its Edu-service to the township as well as the rural community of coastal Odisha made the school stand majestic over four acres of land in a lush-green, eco-friendly environment to chant its hymn of success. The school is not only popular for catering education to the rural community of Odisha but also popular in far off Japan for its relentless service to make students learn Japanese language & culture and thereby bridge up the gap of communication between Japan & India. So, every year students of different Universities of Japan under internship come and join with the students of this school to exchange their language, culture, habitat etc. with them and also on a reciprocal gesture show their interest for Odishan language, culture and life-style. Besides student exchange program different traditional folk artists of Japan organize a stage-show here every year where Japanese & Odishan artists join together to share each other’s music, tune, dance-form etc. to commemorate their solidarity & brotherhood. With the invitation of Japanese artists many artists from Odisha have been to Japan to perform their exquisite art-form amid greetings, cheers and accolades. The school is excellent for its legacy & heritage. Curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are precisely performed here to train young minds with utmost sincerity and dedication. This is the only school in India which has been privileged to participate in two of the mega international projects of Japan namely ‘Kokorozashi Art Project’ and ‘The Biggest painting in the world 2020’. In Kokorozashi Art Project students have to write on a piece of cloth a line or two on their feeling towards attaining world peace and in The Biggest painting in the world 2020 they have to depict their artistic maneuver drawing pictures of Odisha’s culture, religion and habitat etc. on a piece of cloth measuring 5x5 mts. towards solidarity and world peace. Kokorozashi signifies your desire to serve humanity and the planet we live in. To volunteer something good to somebody else without any bias or prejudice. These wishes and art-works are collected from more than two hundred countries and one thousand five hundred cities of Japan to be sewn together and displayed in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Since the school has been putting efforts on grooming Japanese language and culture for last several years, the govt. of Japan being pleased with its service and dedication selected three numbers of students & a teacher to visit Japan under Jenesys program. The govt. of Japan provided funds and also undertook to & fro travel, planning, and operating invitation program including travel arrangements in Japan. The whole schedule of events in Japan for eight days was furnished under the guidance of Japanese govt. These made the school proud of putting few more colourful feathers into the cap of its success. Last but not the least, after tumultuous efforts the parent school has opened its branch in far off Kyoto, the cultural capital of Japan in the year 2018. With this another feather has been added to its cap of success. This has been the rare privilege of being the 1st ever CBSE School in Kansai region, western Japan. It helps the children of Indian expatriates as well as the expatriates of Indian peripheral countries to continue their studies here in an international School with an approved international curriculum, that too in an affordable fee. So that in future they are free to go to their natives or to any other countries in the world and admit their children in any school having English as their medium of instruction. At School we wish to develop the children from different parts of the world & to nurture them into intellectuals who love both culture of their origins & Japan, and who have courtesy. We also introduce Indian culture and Yoga in our morning assembly for the welfare and wellbeing of the children.
CSA also acts as a hub to foster active exchange between India and Japan. In addition to enlisting the help of volunteer faculty and opening the program to study abroad students, we also pursue programming where people of different countries showcase their traditional culture and festivals to those from other parts of the world.
